Bast showcased the intelligent minds of students to compete the Science fair at S.T.E.C. They were accompanied by Tr. Dante Rondina, a High School Math Teacher and Tr. Mary Celky Espinosa, a High School Science Teacher. They served as the coaches of the participants. The category of the contests that they competed in are: Science Investigatory Project (IP), Quiz Bee and, SciDamath. They wrestled with the brilliant minds of the following schools: S.T.E.C, Gun-ob National High School, and Saint Augustine International School (S.A.I.S). Hashley Ricafranca and Chessa Gavilanga, Grade 10- Pearl representatives won 3rd Place for their investigatory project, “Lemon and Brine as a Household Detergent” under the physical science category. The Quiz Bee was tough and challenging but our representatives got through it. Lee Jae Min of Grade 7- Diamond ranked 8th place for the Quiz Bee and his dear classmate Jasper Ybañez won the 1st place. In the SciDamath competition, Joshua Reserva a Grade 8-Sapphire student placed 4th and his fellow classmate Alfred Christian Castro placed 2nd. Though some of our representatives didn’t make it, the school administrators were happy and proud because there are brave and competitive learners who represented the school.
