A Splashing Acquaintance Party
July 1, 2017 was indeed a marvelous day for everyone who came to Benthel Asia School of Technology. It was the High School Department’s annual acquaintance party. The day started out well as each individual greeted their alma mater with dazzling ready-to-go-have-fun-clothes, themed as monochromatic. It was pleasing to the eye how they all appeared fetching from head to toe, and that’s not even the best part. See, the main theme for the party was “Be the Channel of Learning, Transforming an Ordinary Person to an Extraordinary Individual” and the students sure made a way to deliver just that. They showcased their talents, and had it situated out in the open for everyone to see, appreciate, and seek inspiration from. You could hear everyone’s impressed awes with each performance up front.
The unorthodox game was a catcher too. It’s said to be the first time it was ever played in the lands of the Philippines. The children were to work together, their teams depending on their year level to bring a balloon across the pool and back without having to touch it with any body part aside from the index finger. The Grade 10 representatives took the thrown away with their simple yet efficient strategy of having only one person do all the poking and slowly but surely reaching the end, while the other members stayed on guard near him if the balloon were to fly off the premises. Everyone had fun, especially the players. The decor of the venue was commendable as well, much well like the catering services that handed great satisfaction to our dear High School Students and Teachers.
Overall, the event was a big success, and it ended with a refreshing dip in BAST’s Swimming Pool. Many had made new friends through the seating arrangement set-up and the new students got the chance to mingle with other students from both lower and higher year levels, as what an acquaintance party should grant.
